7-legged spider

The other day when I got to the bathroom on all my legs, it was the moment an old member of the web community- who had either shown his territory to his own kind back in the day, or had successfully run from his ex-wife alive- dragged me into thinking. And later, writing this story.

When I saw this seven-legged spider, he was busy climbing up, and a little after he had already decided to go down. Had his direction changed because of the number of his legs? Taking the easier path- going down? Taking the effortless path while you’re capable of better? Probably not- that’s a human thing . He most likely just forgot his keys. Surely such a disciplined spider will reach the summit of my bathroom.

Even today’s space-occupying but athletic spiders struggle with the act of deciding, or with having more than one choice.

However, there is another option if you look closely enough. Stopping where you are- neither going up nor down.

There are always more choices than you’re given. And sometimes even worse ones than you’ve imagined. Looks like today’s world doesn’t only affect human mental health.
