FAANG: Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google

In 2021, Facebook changed their name to Meta, thereby inadvertently removing their and FAANG’s alliteration with the F-word. FAANG died and MAANG was born.

MAANG: Meta, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google

But wait, shouldn’t we replace Google with its parent Alphabet? Would that make it MAANA? Time for another twist. Netflix didn’t seem like a proper fit to many, hence they made the brutal decision to drop Netflix and onboard Microsoft.

MAMAA: Meta, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet

Though she sounds like motherly love, MAMAA is tough on you if you want to work for her and makes you go through several rounds of interview with high rejection rates. If you want to feel more welcome, choose the path of least resistance and try the more sinister sounding WITCH, just like I did!
