Tired of existing

when life feels like just waking up, do our responsibilities… you don’t want to hurt or work all the time, you just need a pause and take a break from the world. It gets incredibly exhausting when you feel you have to carry the weight of living and force a smile all by yourself, knowing that at the end of the day, no one really cares.
You are left staring at the wall, completely clueless on how to simple ‘ do activities’ or how to even begin rebuilding the broken pieces of your feelings, when the thank is completely empty, how are we supposed to find the strength to need anything at all?.
People often mistake this feeling for laziness or a lack of ambition. They tell you to “just take a walk,” “drink some water,” or “find a new hobby.” But they don’t understand that when you are tired of existing, the problem isn’t that you don’t have things to do. The problem is that the connection between your soul and your daily actions has been temporarily severed. You are doing the heavy lifting of survival, but without any of the rewards.
You look at your friends, your peers, or even strangers on the internet, and everyone seems to have a map. They are navigating their twenties, their careers, and their struggles with a sense of direction. Meanwhile, you feel like you are standing in the middle of a foggy room, holding a compass that just spins in circles.
And the hardest part? The guilt. You feel guilty for being tired when “nothing bad” technically happened today. You feel guilty for wanting to disappear for a week when there are deadlines to meet and expectations to fulfill.
But maybe, just maybe, this profound exhaustion isn’t a sign that you are failing.
Perhaps it’s your body and mind throwing a tantrum, forcing you to stop because you’ve been running on survival mode for far too long. Maybe “tired of existing” is just a painful, necessary signal that the way you are currently living is no longer sustainable. You cannot keep poured from an empty cup, and you certainly cannot force a flower to grow by pulling on its leaves.
So, if you are reading this while staring at your own blank wall, clueless about your next move: it is okay to just exist for a while. You don’t have to fix your entire life by tomorrow morning. Today, just breathing is enough.
