As of early 2025, Lake Mead’s water levels have been a topic of concern. Projections indicate that the reservoir may approach near-record lows by the end of the year. Paddlers should be aware that these fluctuating water levels can affect shoreline access and may expose submerged obstacles. ​

Despite these challenges, the lake offers breathtaking vistas of the surrounding desert landscape and distant mountain ranges, providing a serene backdrop for paddlers.
