What I Hope People Remember About Me
When my story is told someday, I don’t want it to be…

We all want to be remembered, maybe because it’s human nature.
Yes, I want that too. But not in the way most people want to be remembered.
I hope people remember me, but not because I was the smartest person in the room or because I achieved something extraordinary.
Those things fade with time. And people don’t remember for such a reason for so long.
Awards gather dust. Job titles change. And success eventually becomes someone else’s story.
What I hope people remember is much simpler.
I want them to remember how I made them feel.
And that I listened when they needed someone to talk to.
That I stayed when it would have been easier to leave.
That I celebrated their victories without jealousy and stood beside them through their hardest days without expecting anything in return.
The truth is, people rarely remember every conversation and every detail.
They remember kindness. They remember patience. They remember the people who made life feel a little lighter when everything else felt heavy.
I hope people remember the good in me.
And that I wasn’t afraid to admit when I was wrong. And that I kept learning, even when it was uncomfortable. That I tried to grow instead of pretending that I already had all the answers.
Of course, I know I won’t always get it right.
I’ll make mistakes. I’ll disappoint people. I’ll have days when I’m tired, impatient, and unsure of myself.
Being remembered doesn’t require being perfect. It only requires being genuine.
More than anything, I want my family and friends to remember that they were loved. Not just through words, but through small everyday actions.
When my story is told someday, I don’t want it to be about how much I owned or how busy I was. I hope it’s about the lives I touched, the kindness I shared, and the love I gave without keeping score.
Because in the end, I don’t think our greatest legacy is found in what we accomplish.
I think it’s found in the hearts that are a little warmer because we were here.
If it makes you feel something, trigger a soft ache in your heart, and resonate a bit, you can cheer me up with coffee. 💌
