The Object That Holds My Story

Made Using ChatGpt
In the corner of my drawer with three dead pens and a rubber band that’s lost its stretch, I have kept an old charger of someone who was special to me. I don’t know why I kept it. That person is no longer in my life, but throwing that away feels so wrong.
That’s what objects do. They don’t do anything. They just sit there until you pick one up and suddenly you’re a kid again, or it’s the last time you saw someone, or it’s the day everything changed.
I’m Samiksha, I run The Silent Script.
And this is our writing challenge.
The object that holds my memory.
For the full rules, timeline, and how to join, check Ashmita Patnaik post — everything’s there.
The ask is simple: tell us about one object. Not the most expensive thing you own, the one that actually means something.
Maybe that reminds you of someone, or it holds the memory of the day your life changed. Or it’s just funny, like a souvenir from your worst vacation that you still can’t throw out. Whatever it is, we want it real, not polished.
Go find that thing in your drawer. We’ll be waiting.
