Sabrun’s Jams Mail [№1]
That’s a pretty ingenious title for this I’m not going to front.
Sabrun’s Jams Mail [№1]
That’s a pretty ingenious title for this I’m not going to front.

I put myself here mentally when I listen to tracks.
Hello everyone, I hope you’re doing well. Welcome to my first track/artist recommendations. No more 50-story long spams on Instagram fortunately, so you can thank me later for saving your thumbs.
This first one contains a lot more suggestions than future ones as it’s been a hot minute since I suggested songs but I aim to keep it concise later on. I’ll try to have it as a weekly thing, seeing as I discover music on a daily basis (or at least I try to) at this point.
You can just click on the track title to be redirected to its Spotify page. Here’s to more music people!
The issue with jazz (and it’s many varieties)

Masayoshi Takanaka my GOAT.
Look, I would assume that the genre I listen to the most would be jazz, or some form of it. The thing is, there are just way too many genres of jazz for me to categorise and keep track of for each song included so please spare me.
With how artists layer sounds over one another and overlap genres, it’s grown pretty hard to tie one track to a specific type of jazz. But what I am sure is that elements of jazz, soul, funk and electronic are present and probably blended in. Hence, I am just going to throw it all under the same umbrella and call it a day.
This list will include subgenres such as acid jazz, afro-cuban jazz, bossa nova, nu jazz, jazz fusion, experimental jazz and probably a lot more.
Let’s roll the red carpet for the instrumental tracks first.

What’s with the non-English selection?
I think if you ask people why they listen to the type of music that they do, you will hear a plethora of answers. Nostalgia, lyrics, your significant other, it can honestly be anything that pull one towards music.
For me specifically, it’s how the track makes me feel, how it riles up the emotions in me as I listen. Because of that, I don’t really have a gripe against non-English songs. Although knowing what the lyrics meant would be helpful in adding depth to my listening experience.
But yeah. Feelings first.
I feel like sharing music is one of the best ways to connect with another soul and it feels that way as well. There is just so much wonderful music to be shared that lies beyond what’s on the billboard charts, and I truly believe artists and musicians deserve the recognition for what they put out irregardless. Plus, discovering music is always a fun time in my book.
Honestly, this was a lot more fun to make than just posting a snippet of the song on Instagram Stories. If you have any suggestions for me, feel free to leave them below!
You may consider subscribing if you wouldn’t like to miss future music recommendations from yours truly.
Thank you and see you in the next one!
