Somewhere amidst a bustling city, Arrives a triumphant young blood. Neither the frosty hell, nor the lethal diseases Dared block his return.
Victorious, the boy returns — With a bag in his hands. Facing the bright red wall of brick, He stares at his dear homeland.
The chaos, the laughter and his mother’s open arms; The air is filled — with his family’s joy. But blankly stares the soldier At the brick wall.
Unbeknownst to his family — The young man was in agony. For he had seen his fellow lads die While serving their country with the utmost pride.
