Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have had the opportunity to engage in diverse experiences that have strengthened my expertise in business and information technology. Studying Computer Information Systems while actively working in various technical and business roles has provided me with a well-rounded perspective on how technology can enhance operational efficiency and decision-making in the corporate world.

One of the most valuable aspects of my learning experience has been the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. My role as a Human Resources and Finance Intern at PYEK Corporation allowed me to analyze financial data, manage retail operations, and develop my problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment. The hands-on experience of reconciling sales reports, managing inventory, and onboarding new employees demonstrated the importance of accurate data handling and strategic planning in business operations. These experiences reinforced my understanding of financial principles and data analytics, bridging the gap between academic coursework and industry practices.

Simultaneously, my technical roles as a Computer Repair Technician and Help Desk Intern have deepened my knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and customer support. Working at UBreakiFix provided me with direct exposure to hardware and software troubleshooting, network maintenance, and security protocols — critical components of IT systems management. Additionally, my internship at Ascend Technologies familiarized me with IT service management, user support, and system migrations, further refining my technical skill set.

Beyond academics and work experience, my leadership role as Vice President of Communications for DECA Inc. has enhanced my organizational and interpersonal skills. Overseeing chapter operations, mentoring members, and fostering partnerships with businesses have been instrumental in developing my leadership capabilities. Through DECA, I have learned the value of collaboration, effective communication, and strategic thinking — skills that are essential in both business and technology fields.
