Best alternative for Spotify you should know about!!

Up until few months ago, I have subscribed for Spotify premium and I use Spotify for pretty much for only listening songs. Right after I subscribed the prices of premium packages goes up and that’s when I thought I shouldn’t be paying this much for music alone and I should get most of this money I’m spending. About this time I was also actively watching videos on Youtube without premium and nothing irritates you more than the advertisements during an emergency search. So I thought of subscribing to Youtube premium.

I don’t know if you know this already but paying Youtube premium also covers Youtube music. And listen to me I’m not lying here, “Youtube music is far better than Spotify” and here are the reasons,

1. You are going to pay pretty much the same amount or even less compared to Spotify, there is an annual package for Youtube which is ₹1490 per year whereas Spotify’s annual package is ₹1999.
2. You can also enjoy AD FREE YouTube videos, trust me it brings a different level of euphoria when you watch a video right after searching without having to play 2 to 3 un-skippable ads. I can’t even explain this feeling.
3. You may have noticed a few songs will not be available on Spotify. I had lots of encounters but on Youtube music you will find all the songs even the remix ones. Basically, everything there is on Youtube you can listen to on Youtube music.
4. The sound quality is awesome in Youtube music, its almost as similar as Apple music. If you are playing music on a speaker, you’ll see the potential of the sound quality.
5. There are lots of other benefits on Youtube apart from Ad free contents like background play, downloads and so many more which I’m yet to explore.
6. The song recommendations are on point unlike Apple music. Once you start playing a song you are gonna listen to lots of songs in the same genre. Trust me you will love these recommendations (I did).
7. If you feel like you are gonna miss those year end recap thing on Spotify don’t worry Youtube music covered that too. You will receive almost all the kinds of recaps as you receive on Spotify.
8. You can use this premium account on your mobile, tablets and laptops at the same time.
9. Youtube music offers watch history, Speed dial (Songs you frequently listened from a long time), Quick picks (Songs you are currently listening to) and lots of playlist recommendations similar to your playlists.
10. You can even skip backwards and forwards like how we do on Youtube when the music is playing.

Below are the benefits I enjoyed from the past 3.5 months alone.

There is lot of other stuffs which you’ll get to explore once you start using the app. Even I’m not fully aware of all the benefits yet.

There is one more application which you can use without paying separately for music if you have Amazon prime. Amazon music, I would say this is not the best music experience but it does its job.
