Living the dream
The end of my first day of in the real world, at my “big girl job”. I thought this would feel like a huge accomplishment, like I'd made it. But all I felt was, dread. Completely out of my depth, like the last 5 years of academic education were a complete waste of time and “is this it”. Staring at my life hurtling away at my desk. Chasing weekends and annual leave. I’m terrified that the thing I have to do to survive, eats so much of my time, demands so much of me, and leaves my cup feeling pretty empty. Is this how all graduate roles feel?
