BKFC president Addresses Paige VanZant’s Future With the Promotion

BKFC president David Feldman expects to know what the future holds for Paige VanZant in the coming weeks.

After a six-year stint in the UFC that saw her go 5–4, ’12 Gauge’ opted to take her skills to the squared circle, signing a lucrative contract with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Unfortunately, the pairing has not worked out the way either party had hoped.

PVZ has only made two appearances for the promotion in the last two years and came up short in both instances, dropping unanimous decisions against Britain Hart and former UFC opponent Rachael Ostovich. VanZant was linked to a fight with BKFC mainstay Charisa Sigala in the second half of 2022, but the fight never came to fruition.

In an interview with the New York Post, VanZant revealed that she was eyeing an April 2023 return to the squared circle. That is news to BKFC president David Feldman.

“I’m going to be talking to her this week and there’s a possibility that she returns on a big card we’ve got in April,” Feldman said.

David Feldman Suggests Paige VanZant ‘Doesn’t Want to Do This Anymore’

Dave Feldman also addressed the possibility that if Paige VanZant does not return in April, her BKFC run could come to a close as a result.

“If she doesn’t, then it’s probable that she won’t be coming back to BKFC. She’s making a lot of money doing her other businesses and maybe she doesn’t want to do this anymore, I will find out this week.”

Paige VanZant’s “other businesses” include her work on Instagram and internet content subscription service OnlyFans. Though ’12 Gauge’ has not disclosed her earnings from the site known for its X-rated content, she has confirmed that it is a far more fruitful venture than fighting for the UFC. With PVZ making money hand over fist without having to put her physical well-being on the line, nobody could blame her for walking away from combat sports altogether.

“She is definitely welcome with the organization it’s just a matter of what she wants to do. I think this helps her other revenue streams, it gives her notoriety to be able to get fans for her other revenue streams,” Feldman continued. I don’t think she’s going to turn it down because of money, I think the only reason she would turn it down is if she doesn’t have the desire to fight anymore.”
