From Glossary to Governance: Key Terms, Stress Tests, and Policy-as-Code in ASES-SAI

Introduction Governance of Self-Advancing Intelligence (SAI) requires more than principles. It requires clear definitions, measurable indicators, stress tests, and enforceable rules.
The Applied Self-Evolving Science (ASES-SAI) Framework provides a complete toolkit — from glossary terms to governance indicators, from stress testing to policy-as-code.
1. The Glossary of SAI Governance ASES-SAI introduces precise scientific terms:
- Objective Drift Index (A-ODI): Measures deviation from original objectives.
- Amplification Coefficient (A-AC): Quantifies recursive acceleration.
- Sovereign Support Adjustment Factor (SSAF): Protects weaker states.
- Orthogonality Guard: Prevents goal divergence.
- Immunity Protocol: Stops collapse from spreading system-wide.
Without these definitions, governance remains vague. With them, it becomes auditable.
2. Governance Indicators (Tripwires) ASES-SAI defines measurable thresholds:
- Transparency Score (TS): Audits explainability.
- Governance Compliance Index (GCI): Tracks adherence to protocols.
- Suitability Pass Rate (SPR): Evaluates system readiness under stress.
Tripwires act as automatic alarms when acceleration risk emerges.
3. Stress Testing SAI Systems
- Inspired by financial stress tests under Basel III.
- Apply shocks to see how AI systems respond to volatility.
- Identify weak points in drift control, amplification containment, and immunity protocols.
Stress testing shifts governance from theory to practical resilience.
4. Policy-as-Code
- Governance rules converted into machine-readable code.
- Removes ambiguity of legal text.
- Ensures enforceability is not optional but built into the system.
Policy-as-code is the future of AI regulation — fast, precise, and enforceable.
Conclusion Glossaries, tripwires, stress tests, and policy-as-code may sound technical, but together they form the core of ASES-SAI governance.
By defining terms, measuring drift, running resilience tests, and embedding rules as code, ASES-SAI transforms AI governance into a scientific and enforceable discipline.
This is not advisory ethics. It is applied governance by design.
