I managed to clean the dishes all by myself.
Credit goes to my loving husband for believing in me. I could have never achieved this feat without his mumbling words of encouragement, “I’m tired,” “can’t you do it by yourself?” “tonight, again?”
Seriously, what would I have without him? Cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, paying bills, but can I open the jar by myself?
Hell no, it takes a manly strength that my masculine side can never achieve, at least in front of him.
Behind his back? All the time.
What do you think I won’t drink tea because I can’t open the jar?
Anyways, I’m tired now from doing it all alone.
Wasn’t marriage for unwavering support and togetherness?
And if it’s not, then what’s the point?
What’s the point of hanging in the garden where every time you try to touch a flower, it turns into weed?
What’s the point of knowing all the ways you could be loved but receiving nothing?
What’s the point?
Fear?
Of dying alone?
Of living alone?
But isn’t it alone anyway?
I should go back to sleep now.
Thanks jaynalocke for this amazing prompt: **stain**.
Sometimes no one loves you, sometimes you don’t know how to receive it.
