Review: Demolition Man 4k Blu-ray

As long-term fans of Demolition Man, the idea of a 4k Blu-ray upscaling, in a limited-edition box set was always super tempting. Fortunately, it’s also super worth the extra spend.

Compared to the old Blu-ray there is an undoubted improvement in fine details. Just look at clothing, or even some of the mad hairstyles. HDR and Dolby Vision offers an entirely new palette too.

Yes, some effects can look a little rubbish but that’s a minor gripe. That’s a sign of its age than anything else.

The Dolby Atmos track offers up a flurry of action if your system can handle it. There’s even extra stuff going on when the action isn’t flowing, like Huxley driving her car or flickers of background flames. It’s just good.

Put those two together, plus a nice package full of satisfying non-disk material and it’s a set fans of the film will absolutely love.
