Rachel’s Truth Bomb 💣✨

Hi, I’m Rachel and this is my blog. Stronger together!

You need to read it because I say so. I’m also very smart and my best friend Samantha shares my personal truth on literally all topics. We are here to make the world less ignorant. So read it, share it, or I will find out your name and destroy your reputation on social media. I have 1,200 followers and I’m not afraid to use them.

Robert Still Doesn’t Get It

Big drama update. Robert found out that Saskia cheated on him. And, I can’t believe I have to write this, he’s angry at her. At HER. The woman who gave him months of clear passive-aggressive signals that she was unhappy. She literally stopped laughing at his jokes in February. She moved his pillow to the other side of the bed. She once sighed while he was talking about his day. What more does this man need? A PowerPoint?

She clearly communicated, through silence, cold body language, and a general aura of resentment, that she expected more daily presents, more emotional availability, and overall a complete personality change. He didn’t deliver. What was she supposed to do? Communicate verbally like some kind of animal?

Robert, if you’re reading this: you brought this on yourself. Take some responsibility for once.

This is exactly why you need to read my blog. It’s important that you don’t get brainwashed on simple things.

Justice for Rudy 🙌

Great news. We got Chris fired.

Here’s what happened. Rudy was sharing over lunch, really opening up, very brave, about how much he loves drinking on the weekends. He said getting properly wasted makes him feel alive. It was beautiful. Vulnerable. Authentic.

And then Chris, completely unprompted, if you ignore the fact that Rudy was literally talking about it, said, and I quote: “If you keep getting wasted at 40-plus, you should expect severe health consequences and possibly early death.”

Over lunch. While people were eating salads.

I immediately reported it as bullying and harassment. Nina, who is five weeks into her sober month and was sitting right there, was shaking. HR agreed it was a clear case of unsolicited medical opinion in a safe sharing space. Chris tried to argue that “it’s just a fact” which, honestly, made it worse. Facts delivered without emotional wrapping are just violence in a lab coat.

He’s gone now. Chapter closed. Rudy is doing much better and celebrated with a few drinks after work.

My Gambling Lawsuit(s)

Some of you know I lost £750 on online gambling last month. Yes, I kept depositing money and clicking the “spin” button. And yes, they asked me questions about affordability and told me about self-exclusion options, but let’s be serious. I only had medium to bad marks in mathematics. How would I know if I can afford it? Am I Einstein? Am I supposed to get a calculator out every time I want to have fun? This is victim-blaming.

Luckily, my lawyer says I have three strong cases.

Case 1: Against the casino. They took my money and I couldn’t pay rent. So they obviously have to give it back. That’s just logic.

Case 2: Against Anthropic and OpenAI. This is the big one. These companies market themselves as “personal assistants.” I use Claude every day to help me write emails, plan my meals, and explain long words. And yet, not ONCE did it tell me to stop depositing money at the casino. It would have been so easy to install a browser plugin, monitor my spending, and intervene with a simple message: “Gambling bad. Do not play.” Three words. They have the technology. They chose silence. That’s complicity.

Case 3: Against my bank: For processing the transactions without asking me if I was “really, really sure.”

I’ll keep you posted.

The War Thing

Putin bombed some residential buildings in Kyiv again. Very sad. Already people are writing inflammatory things like “we need to support Ukraine” and “democracies should defend each other” and “better to die for something than to live for nothing.” So aggressive. So escalatory.

Everyone knows violence is bad. We literally tell children this in school. If it works on seven-year-olds fighting over a swing, it obviously scales to geopolitical nuclear powers.

I’m very proud of our Prime Minister for releasing a statement that he “condemns in the strongest possible terms” the actions of Russia. You could really feel the strength in those terms. I think when Putin reads it (and he will, because it was posted on the official government website in English) he will understand his mistake, apologise, and the war will be over. Diplomacy is just talking. How hard can it be?

People who suggest actually doing something are part of the problem. Fighting fire with fire only creates more fire. That’s basic science. I looked it up.

Family First 💕

Amazing development at work. Management announced that we are now a family. Not like a company that pays you money in exchange for work. An actual family. Gemma from HR cried during the announcement, which I think shows real leadership.

Now that we’re a family and share the core family value of unconditional love, I felt safe enough to open up in our team retro about how I sometimes feel lazy and procrastinate too much. My manager David said, “Maybe we can work on that together,” which honestly felt a bit aggressive, so I flagged it with Gemma.

After a thorough investigation, David received coaching on motivational language and I received three days of paid wellness leave to process the experience. During my leave, Gemma also helped me prepare lawsuits against Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit for making me procrastinate in the first place. Because let’s be clear: I wasn’t procrastinating. I was being procrastinated. There’s a difference. One implies agency and the other implies I’m a victim, which I am.

David hasn’t been the same since. Some people say he’s “walking on eggshells.” I prefer to think of it as him finally learning to be mindful.

Wellness Update

I’m taking next week off for mental health. Nothing specific, I just feel like it’s important to rest after writing this blog post. It took a lot of emotional labour.

If you disagree with anything I’ve written, please know that your disagreement is a form of harm and I will be documenting it.

Talk soon, Rachel ✨

P.S. Samantha proofread this and said it’s “literally the most important thing she’s ever read.” So.
