Feeling like you don’t fit into a certain activity or environment can make you question yourself. You start thinking maybe you’re not good enough, not ready enough, or just not “meant” to be there. But the truth is, that feeling doesn’t always come from reality. Sometimes it comes from old wounds, past experiences, or fears that slowly shaped the way you see yourself today.

In reality, everyone has the right to try whatever they want. There are no real rules that decide who is allowed and who isn’t. But what often happens is the opposite. It’s not other people who limit us, it’s ourselves. We judge ourselves so harshly that we forget we actually have control.

I’ve been there too. Not having many connections, not knowing where to start, not even knowing who to ask. It felt like everyone else already had their path figured out while I was just standing still. I used to think I needed big preparation to get into something. I had to be ready, skilled, and “worthy” first. But turns out, the only thing I really needed was the courage to start.

That’s when I learned something simple but life changing. I’m the creator. I’m the one who starts. I’m the one who looks for answers. I’m the one who tries. You don’t have to wait until everything makes sense, because most answers come after you take action.

Being a beginner is nothing to be ashamed of. Not knowing doesn’t mean you’re incapable. It means you have space to grow. And when you try something new, you might look different, and that’s okay. Different isn’t something to hide. It means you’re brave enough to be yourself.

Over time, I realized that the process matters more than the early results. When you’re just starting, it’s normal if things don’t turn out great yet. That doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re learning. Even deciding to start is already a big step that not everyone is brave enough to take.

Because the moment you start, you’re taking your power back. You stop waiting for the “perfect” time or the “perfect” version of yourself. You move first, then you figure things out along the way. You gain experience, you start to understand, and from that understanding, you grow.

A lot of people want big results but are still stuck in the phase of just searching without actually trying. They keep preparing and waiting for the perfect opportunity. But without experience, that doubt will never go away. You’ll never really know if something is right for you if you’ve never done it.

This also applies to value and pay. Some people turn down opportunities because the reward doesn’t match their expectations, even though they don’t have experience in that field yet. Yes, it’s important to value yourself, but it’s also important to be honest about where you are right now. Your first step is not always about big results, it’s about real learning.

When you try, you start to understand what you actually need to grow. You learn what skills to improve, how things really work, and what you can offer better next time. Without that, you’ll stay stuck in confusion, wanting to move forward but not taking any action.

Being the creator of your life means you don’t just wait for opportunities, you create your own starting point. You don’t just think, you act. You’re not afraid of making mistakes because you know every mistake teaches you something. And most importantly, you stop letting fear decide your direction.

At the end of the day, you don’t need to be the best version of yourself to start. Starting is what builds that version. So if you’re feeling unsure right now, remember this.
