Saha Airlines Takes Off: A New Era of Affordable Travel Between Afghanistan and Iran

When I first heard that Iran’s Saha Airlines was launching flights to Afghanistan, I felt both excitement and relief. For too long, Afghan travelers have struggled with expensive airfares and limited options.

Saha Airlines has promised to reduce ticket prices by up to 50 percent. That’s not just a discount — it’s a game-changer for ordinary Afghans who need to travel for work, medical treatment, or family visits.

The airline will connect Tehran with Kabul, and Mashhad with Mazar-i-Sharif and Kandahar. This makes Saha the sixth Iranian airline now serving Afghanistan.

The Afghan Tourism Companies Association has welcomed this move, saying it will strengthen ties between Kabul and Tehran and even make visa processes smoother.
