We all read “Life Cycle” stages in several discipline — whether in IT with Project Life Cycle, Software Development Life Cycle, or in Biology for the plant life cycle stages. Likewise, AI have a life cycle with the data trained on AI model’s to check their intelligence and ethical usages.

Where is the best place to learn the life cycle?

Just by observing nature and plants — you get to know the various stages in their life, their behaviours, and the reproduction to the next generation with sustainability ability. Students can document their behaviour in various stages and term them in their own word so as to make others understand. This process of observing and documenting will help students identify the subtle changes in the stages of a plant — from embryo to adult and then onwards to old stage. Moreover, the organic medicine used to grow plants and produce newer, stronger fruit will help show how humans have built knowledge to make plants stronger with strong stems and better fruit.

The traditional knowledge system was built parallel with nature observation, where all religious functions use nature-provided resources. Nepalese Hindus and Buddhists use several plants for their religious activities to pray and offering to god and goddess. Without the use of plant resources such as seeds, grown plants, or embryos, the ritual activities cannot be performed. However, the modern education system keeps students apart from this nature knowledge and activities. The modern education system implies output and man-made resources optimize nature’s output. This shows the loss of knowledge among students, where they keep understanding the life cycle as a siloed discipline. We often forget what we don’t use frequently. Therefore, observing nature and building knowledge from available resources will develop sustainable green-life knowledge. On a daily basis, this makes students less hectic, as their job is to observe nature — learn from nature and support plants with proper medicine if there is any problem. Ultimately, one would find the peace only with the nature.

Learning is always within the environment. Knowledge is to explore and find out hidden behaviour. This is the foundation of knowledge building process in school for students.
