NewTwos is the next version of Twos.

Twos has been rebuilt from the ground up 4 times. NewTwos is the newest iteration, built 100% with AI, with a focus on quickly writing things down.

Twos is the best place to write, remember, and share the things that matter. NewTwos is the newest version of the app.

Background

Google stopped letting us update our Android app in the Google Play Store in 2024.

Our app used outdated libraries that Google was no longer going to support.

I tried updating the libraries for almost a month. I hired a team of people in India, and after a week, they concluded they weren’t going to be able to do it.

So we took some time to think.

In 2025, Google took our app down.

Around that time, vibe coding was starting to get popular. I tested it by building a photo labeling app, and within a day, I was hooked.

We decided to rebuild Twos entirely with AI, from the first principles of writing things down. That’s NewTwos.

Where it is now

NewTwos is available on web, iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, Linux, Apple Watch, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and ChatGPT.

It supports everything old Twos had, minus layouts, focus, multiple accounts, headings, and badges.

On top of what old Twos could do, NewTwos adds:

• New views and navigation: a capture view, list sorting, a map view, a memory view, a things view, timelines for drag-and-drop time-blocking, a side panel, and settings search
• Customization: custom app icons, custom sizing and spacing, custom swipes, custom keyboard shortcuts, custom badges, and backgrounds
• Capture and organizing: backlinks, cloning, tagging, slash commands, and undo/redo
• Reminders, integrations, and imports: location-based reminders, Apple Reminders integration, Apple Notes import, weather, and auto-date detection for reminders in all languages
• Platforms and extensions: Apple Watch, Safari extension, Firefox extension, and desktop auto-updates
• For power users: public API, MCP, 2FA, and RTL languages

It has also improved search, export, photos, reminders, chat, drag and drop, widgets, and feed.

The future

NewTwos will continue being developed toward one goal: being the best place to capture, remember, and share the things that matter.

Twos will stay up for the foreseeable future, but it will eventually be discontinued and replaced by NewTwos, or by Twos v5.
