The Census 2027- Accuracy?

I live in Bangalore with my 2 year old while my husband is in Pune for this year. Few officers came today for the Census and asked how many members are there in your family. I said 3 and then he said, “provide name of anyone”. I gave them my husband’s name. Then he asked few details about the vehicles we owned and if the flat is rented/owned.

In about 3 minutes, he left without providing any slip. I am still wondering what if someone from Census visits my husband’s place and asks same questions. Will it not be duplicacy. They are not asking for any ID proofs/Aadhar etc. Like me, so many members of one family live in different cities in rented flats. They change these flats as per their jobs. How are we planning to ensure that no one is counted twice.

And where is the digitization. They came with pen and paper the way it was in 2011. Are we taking it seriously or its just another way of wasting taxpayers money.
