Unsaid

Everything was left unsaid. Both went parallel ways — none of them looked back.

But by judging the atmosphere, you could feel that neither wanted to leave without a fight. Something heavy was sitting between them, the kind that doesn’t need words to be heard.

(Ok stop. It’s not egos. It’s that they don’t want to create a scene — but you know, we all like drama. It’s quite unfortunate that they won’t give us one.)

[Back to where I stopped]

She entered her car — a clean, black sedan. He was waiting for his cab on the pavement, hands in his pockets, eyes somewhere else.

Think, Eric. What problem will cause this tension between them? Has one of them cheated? Or…? Does one want out? Or…?

Hey. Stop overthinking. It’s not your story. You just have to narrate it.

(Now back to where we waited)

Still waiting for the continuation?

Here’s the thing about other people’s silences — they never really end. You just stop watching.

Eric closed his notebook. His cab was here too.
