MAN 1 Yogyakarta Students Join TKA and University Entrance Socialization Program

Yogyakarta, Indonesia — In preparation for the Academic Competency Test (Tes Kompetensi Akademik / TKA) and university admission, MAN 1 Yogyakarta organized a socialization program for Grade X and XI students. The activity was held by the Curriculum Division of MAN 1 Yogyakarta in collaboration with Ganesha Operation on Monday afternoon (May 18, 2026) in each classroom.

The program aimed to provide students with an early understanding of the TKA system while introducing strategies for entering higher education institutions. During the session, students were informed about the compulsory TKA subjects, namely Mathematics, Indonesian Language, and English. In addition, they also learned about two elective subjects that can be adjusted to the university major each student plans to pursue.

Beyond discussing the TKA, the team from Ganesha Operation explained various university admission pathways, including SNBP, SNBT, and independent admission routes. Students were also introduced to alternative higher education options such as government-affiliated academies and their selection systems.

As part of the program, students participated in a Mathematics TKA tryout session. After completing the test within the allotted time, the activity continued with a joint discussion of the questions guided by tutors from Ganesha Operation. Students were given quick-solving techniques and effective strategies to help them become more confident and efficient in future examinations.

The Head of MAN 1 Yogyakarta, Edi Triyanto, S.Ag., S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed appreciation for the implementation of the activity. According to him, the program serves as an important step in helping students prepare for their academic future from an early stage.

“This activity is expected to broaden students’ understanding of higher education while motivating them to prepare more seriously for the TKA. Thorough preparation will help students achieve their dream universities and develop their best potential,” Edi stated. (mzs)
