“A radical transformation of life is always possible by man revising the undesirable part of it.” Neville Goddard
I healed my girlfriend using the law of assumption or the law of creation. Knowing and applying this law, I allowed myself to feel the wish fulfilled that she was healthy. She was out for 2 nights working Thursday and Friday. She typically works graveyard. It was Saturday evening when I sent her a few text messages letting her know I was about to eat and go to sleep and that I did not appreciate her not texting me back.
On this Saturday night, her daughter texts me back using her phone. She says:
My mom is in the hospital. She wanted me to let you know so you don’t think she is ignoring you. Please don’t be mad.
She had read my text, she knew I was getting annoyed because my girlfriend was not communicating with me. But to my utter shock, she was in the hospital.
My girlfriend’s sister called me the next day, letting me know the situation. She seemed very concerned. I told her to tell my girlfriend that I love her. That was it. I immediately started working on an ask firmation, “How do I feel now that my girlfriend is perfectly healthy and she is at home?” Whilst she was in the hospital. In my inner world, I was saying she was healthy, at home, and I was feeling the feeling of that reality with my ask-firmation.
It is so much easier to manifest for “others” because it is easy to be unattached to the outcome. This is why the Bible says, "Be still, " which emphasizes the sabbath — the day of rest. You must let imagination work the bridge of incidents to manifestation.
I do not recall creating an imaginal act but I did change my environment upon creating my ask-firmation. I made a photo of us kissing the screen saver for my phone and my TV. Then on my restroom mirror I wrote, “Welcome back baby, I love you.”
Long story short, the day she left the hospital, she called me, she never calls, only texts, and we went to the store to buy groceries and we slept in each other's arms.
Later on, weeks went by, and she brought up my decision not to visit her. She was in the hospital for about 4 or 5 days. I told her I did not go becuase in my mind she was healthy and if I went I would be giving life to the reality that she is unwell. I did not have that reality. I explained to her my manifestation process, but despite telling her that, she still got visibly upset.
Neville Goddard shares a similar story about a man who had a tenant who was at the hospital but did not offer aid because it contradicted his current imaginal act. I will share the story verbatim because Neville shares it briefly but precisely. Therefore, below is the story in the words of his student named RS in the book The Law and the Promise:
“During your current series of lectures, trouble developed with collections on one of my Trust Deeds. The security, a house and lot, was neglected and run down. The owners were apparently spending their money in bars while their two little girls, aged nine and eleven, were noticeably uncared for. However, forgetting appearances, I began to revise the situation. In my imagination I drove my wife past the property and said to her, ‘Isn’t the yard beautiful? It’s so neat and well cared for. Those people really show their love for their home. This is one Trust Deed we will never have to worry about’. I would ‘see’ the house and lot as I wanted to see it — a place so lovely, it gave me a warm glow of pleasure. Every time the thought of this property came to me, I repeated my imaginal scene. “After I had been practicing this revision for some time, the woman who lived in the house had an automobile accident; while she was in the hospital her husband disappeared. The children were cared for by neighbors; and I was tempted to visit the mother in the hospital to reassure her of assistance, if necessary. But how could I, when my imaginary scene implied that she and her family were happy, successful and obviously contented? So I did nothing but my daily revision. A short while after leaving the hospital, the woman and her two daughters disappeared also. Payments were sent in on the property and a few months later she reappeared with a wedding certificate and a new husband. At this writing, all payments are right up to date. The two little girls are obviously happy and well cared for, and a room has been added to the property by the owners giving our Trust Deed additional security. “It was mighty nice to solve my problem without threats, unkind words, eviction, or worry about the little girls; but was there something in my imagining that sent that woman to the hospital?” Any imaginal activity acquiring intensity through our concentrated attention to clarity of the end desired tends to overflow into regions beyond where we are; but we must leave it to take care of such imaginal activity itself. It is marvelously resourceful in adapting and adjusting means to realize itself. Once we think in terms of influence rather than of clarity of the end desired, the effort of imagination becomes an effort of will and the great art of imagining is perverted into tyranny.
I included the final thoughts by Neville because I felt they added to most important element of the story. You do nothing. It happens all on it’s own. He said, “[Imagination] is marvelously resourceful in adapting and adjusting means to realize itself.” Itself. Itself is the keyword. Then he adds, “Once we think in terms of influence rather of the clarity of the end desired, the effort of imagination becomes an effort of will and the great art of imagining is perverted into tyranny.”
When I was told that my girlfriend was in the hospital, I did not accept the idea. I used images of myself and her kissing to stay focused on that image. I riffed off an ask-firmation. I even recorded an affirmation. It recorded, “I am so grateful [my girlfriend’s name] is perfectly healthy now. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.” I would listen to it on my ride to work and on the ride back.
The method I used to manifest was threefold:
- Ask-firmation
- Imagination or image
- Rampage
Even though my girlfriend gets mad when she remembers that I did not visit her, I would not change a thing. She came home and she is healthy. You cannot give life to what you do not want in thought, feeling, and action. Not once did I imagine her in a hospital. Not once did I think about visiting or imagine myself walking into one. Your thought, feeling, and individual action must contradict the unwanted circumstance, and then the unwanted circumstance will go away. The new identity — new thought and feeling — will be manifest because it is what and where you are in imagination. Imagination creates reality.
