Born in Buffalo in 1955, Catherine Ryan Hyde also lived in NYC for a time. She worked as a dog trainer, tour guide and in a bakery before turning to writing full-time in the early ’80s. But I’m smart enough to appreciate what I’ve got…” The dialogue and prose are solid though a bit overwritten. 28,000 users at Amazon have rated Have You…, forging to a consensus of 4.6 on a scale of five. I’ll go with three. Hyde has worked as a magazine editor, done workshops, blogs and public speaking. She dabbles in photography.
