Do you ever feel you have to try really hard to get something you want?

Some people might have their own hardest time in life. And everyone has their own way to pass it. I am ever in the hard situation that makes me think ‘Should i give up or should i just keep chasing it?’ Literally every night i talk like that to myself.

That time i wanted to go to college but my parents could’t afford it. I try to get a scholarship; i’m trying so hard. I think i already fight as the hard as i can. I take a gap after graduating from high school to study more because i really want to go through university with scholarship.

One year after i graduate from high school, i try to take the test again, and it’s still the same as before; i didn’t pass the test. My score isn’t good enough. In that time i was thinking, “Am i that stupid or what? Why does it feel so hard for me?” I cry easily in that time while i apply for so many scholarships at many universities. I don’t know why i do that; I push myself away from my dream uni and my dream major. That still didn’t work; I got rejected from universities i applied to. I know i should move on and try another way if i want to go to college. I gathered all my strength to get up again. I find another way, another piece of information. Until i know the information from that one university that i never expected i will apply to them. There are still quotas for scholarships from the government. I tried to apply with all my remaining energy. I had committed to myself that if i wasn’t accepted this time, I would stop pursuing my ambitions to go to college.

Unexpectedly, I got accepted. In that time, I can’t believe it. I don’t know why the process is so easy at my university. Day by day living a day in my university, one by one of my question is answered.

Sometimes God wants you to work harder and be more patient. Because God knows better that, what we desire might have a negative impact on the future. Making it difficult for us to achieve it is God’s way of protecting us from bad things that could befall us. However, that doesn’t mean we should just do nothing and wait for fate to come. We must still try our best. If you feel like it’s beyond your capabilities, surrender everything to God.

For those of you reading this, if you feel like you want something and you have tried very hard but you are having difficulty achieving it, don’t give up and understand what you gain from that failure. Because failure is the path to success. Good luck.
