Fairytales?

NO. life lessons.

Among the folder of movies downloaded in our family laptop was : 'The Chronicles of Narnia' — 3 movies. And my imaginative mind dived into it easily. The characters were kids, there was magic and mystery and I was 15...

How could I not like it, right?

But the topic of interest today is that there are 7 books originally, out of which 3 were converted to movies. And I read all 7 of them. When? How? Why? I don't know. But I did.

I loved the character of Aslan the most. Maybe I didn’t understand it properly then, but in my memory it feels like He was a God-like figure for the Narnia world. So I loved him a lot. Reading his parts of the story left me in profound reverence and tranquility. I felt so serene, I remember. That is why the concept of Narnian world didn’t leave me until now. Plus having an anticipation of the remaking of the story by Netflix is what’s keeping the flame ignited in me.

Some of my favourite quotes from Narnia are-

I am [in your world].’ said Aslan. ‘But there I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.

One day, you will be old enough to start reading fairytales again.
