How we built a verifiable, self-custody AI trader on BNB Chain for the BNB Hack, where every prediction is sealed on chain before the outcome and the agent physically cannot breach its own risk cap.

The problem with “trust me” bots

Every trading bot publishes a curve and a win rate. Almost none publish a way to check either. A backtest can be cherry picked. A live record can be edited after the fact. A single good week can be framed as a permanent edge. If an agent is going to trade real money, its claims should be checkable by anyone, and its risk should be bounded by something stronger than a promise.

MEFAI is built around that standard from the first line.

Four principles

1. Prove before you act. The agent seals each prediction as a keccak256 hash on a commit reveal registry before entry, then reveals the preimage after the window closes. The past cannot be rewritten.

2. Risk is enforced, not promised. A RiskGovernor circuit-breaker contract halts trading at the drawdown cap 1400 bps, well under the competition’s disqualification line. The agent cannot override it, so a drawdown disqualification cannot come from its own trading.

3. No fabricated numbers. Every figure comes from a live endpoint or a verifiable ledger. When a feed is down, the surface says so rather than inventing a value. We do not claim a proven profit edge, a clean walk-forward does not hand us one, so the netofcost gate would rather skip a trade than bleed on a coin flip.

4. Open and attributable. The agent carries an ERC-8004 verifiable identity on BSC mainnet. Its signatures are public, its source is open, and every proof contract is source verified on BscScan.

How a decision is made

Six steps run every cycle,

Gather every MEFAI capability (signals, expert debate, whale flow, smart money, accumulation, derivatives) and the full CoinMarketCap regime read each cast a directional vote. → Fuse votes are weighted by each source’s own historical hit rate into one conviction.

→ Size a fractional Kelly engine fits the stake from empirical outcomes, then shrinks it to fit the remaining drawdown budget.

→ Guard a pretrade security solver runs honeypot, contract, slippage, approval, preflight and MEV checks.

→ Commit the prediction hash lands on chain.

→ Reveal the keeper records the resolved outcome to the BSC ledger.

Two tracks, one engine

For the autonomous trading track, the same engine trades live under a contract enforced drawdown cap, so a blow up disqualification cannot come from its own book. For the strategy skills track, the same data layer (195k labeled outcomes across forty plus assets) powers five reproducible CMC skills a risk-budgeted allocator, a TPSL optimizer, a regime governor, narrative rotation, and a meta composer each shipping a backtest you can rerun and digest match.

Verify it yourself

Open the contracts on BscScan. Re-run the backtests and compare the reproducibility digest. Read the commit and reveal transactions. The whole point is that you don’t have to believe a screenshot you can check the chain.
