I am grateful to Mayor David West, our Richmond Hill Councillors, and their dedicated staff for standing with the York Region Alliance of African Canadian Communities (YRAACC) in honouring Emancipation Day. Your support in honouring African heritage by hosting the libation ceremony and raising the Pan-African flag at City Hall is more than symbolic. It is a meaningful step toward building a more inclusive and welcoming Richmond Hill.
