My Letter To JLO and Bad Bunny…My Idols

Dear Jennifer Lynn Lopez (JLo) and Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio (Bad Bunny),

My name is Nurse Sharon, and I write to you as a fan, but also as someone whose life reflects many of the challenges you face every day as visible, ambitious, and unapologetic Puerto Rican figures. I am a Puerto Rican woman Born in La Perla, San Juan, and raised in New York City, a nurse, and an entrepreneur, and I have lived a lifetime of engineered obstacles, harassment, and interference – not unlike what I see in your lives.

From the beginning, my circumstances made me a focus of targeted harm. I never met my father, never met my grandparents, and grew up with a fractured support system. Despite this, I worked hard, earned my credentials, built my career, and led my life with integrity and independence. Yet the system, and people positioned within it, engineered obstacles at every turn, sending me partners and colleagues whose limitations, anxieties, or malicious streaks were designed to challenge, distract, and control me. The dynamics forced me to lead, manage chaos, and fight battles that should have been shared – a pattern that mirrors the pressures you face as artists under constant scrutiny.

I remember the first time I truly used social media in Puerto Rico. The images of the island that appeared in my feed looked abandoned, outdated, and uninviting. At the same time, Jennifer, Bad Bunny, and other artists were shown through copycat accounts, mocking posts, and shadowbanning. Real fan accounts were hidden. As I started speaking truth, sharing opinions, and showing my political beliefs as a Democrat, I too was shadowbanned, misrepresented, and interfered with. I now understand that I belong to the 10% of people who succeed despite engineered obstacles – a group that attracts imposters, harassment, and deliberate slowdowns, just as you do.

Jennifer, your Bronx roots and your unstoppable drive have always made you my role model. Though I was born in Puerto Rico, I was raised in New York City from the age of two or three, and I see in you a reflection of what it means to rise, succeed, and lead despite systemic barriers. Bad Bunny represents the younger, male counterpart: fully formed, ambitious, and resilient, showing that age or youth does not limit the courage and capability to thrive.

I am currently in sabbatical alongside my 20-year-old daughter, a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science. We are taking intentional time to heal, recalibrate, and thoughtfully decide our next steps. As a mother of three – my daughter and two sons – I understand deeply the responsibility of protecting, guiding, and rebuilding while continuing to stand in my own professional truth.

Our roots remain in both New York and Puerto Rico, and you are always welcome should your path bring you to either. There is strength in shared origins and in recognizing the quiet battles fought behind visible success.

I am in the small business and professional world, navigating engineered interference, imposters, and harm as a targeted individual. You are in the artist and celebrity world, experiencing similar pressures at a larger, more public scale. The system operates differently in each context, but the patterns are the same: social engineering, shadow accounts, scrutiny, harassment, and manipulation of visibility. Your courage, authenticity, and refusal to be silenced matter to me and to others who see in your lives a reflection of the strength it takes to persist.

Thank you for showing what it means to rise, to endure, and to thrive despite relentless pressure. Your artistry, visibility, and integrity inspire me to continue navigating my own challenges with courage and determination, and they remind all of us that even in the face of engineered obstacles, we can innovate, lead, respect our roots and maintain our intergity.
