How this non-technical founder went from idea to product and paying customers in just 7 months

Noor Alderazi — Founder, Tamam Technologies Tech for Non-Techies graduate
To move fast, you need to start slow.
Noor Alderazi went from idea to live tech platform with revenue in just 7 months. This is remarkable speed.
But to get there, she had to slow down.
Using AI to learn faster, not build blind
Noor began by using AI to build a prototype (this is a test product) and get feedback on it from her target market.
This first version wasn’t meant to scale. It was meant to inform.
She saw that in general, she was on the right track, but the features she had designed needed major changes.
It is always better to test your feature ideas this way before a line of code gets written.
Why?
Because
on average, $1 you spend on design testing saves $10 in redevelopment costs.
Start with a problem people feel daily
Noor ran three retail businesses: a florist, a chocolatier and a women’s clothing store.
Her team were inundated with orders in Instagram DMs, and this was very messy.
Orders got lost, the wrong things got shipped and customers got annoyed.
She spoke to fellow small retailers and they all said the same thing — managing Instagram orders is a nightmare.
She thought that there must be a tech solution to this problem. When she couldn’t find one, she decided to build it.
Because the problem was real and specific, validation happened quickly. People didn’t need convincing. They needed relief.
That’s why unglamorous B2B problems so often outperform flashy concepts.
Let feedback shape the product
The biggest evolution from prototype to paid product came from listening closely.
Features changed. Workflows shifted. The core purpose stayed intact, but customer behavior dictated what stayed and what disappeared.
This prevented wasted development and made selling easier because the product already reflected how people worked.
Why funding followed traction
Noor won $65,000 in equity free funding because she wasn’t another start-up founder with a presentation.
She had evidence.
A tested prototype. Market need. Clear potential to scale across markets and languages.
The real lesson
Noor went from just an idea to a working product and paying customers not because she hustled harder than other founder.
But because she followed a system.
Understand the problem deeply. Prototype cheaply. Test early. Build with proof. Use AI to accelerate learning, not to avoid thinking.
That’s how ideas turn into revenue without burning time, money, or trust.
