Are We Born Good or Evil?

Back when I was just a child I believed that the idea of being born evil or good is an absurd claim because how a new born baby identifies the meaning and differences between good or evil.

It feels too illogical for me even right now that I’m 17 years old. My idea doesn’t change a bit but as an older version of myself I learned that even how illogical things are for me, it doesn’t mean that someone’s idea is meaningless.

I just don’t see it in his/her perspective. In my perspective, being born evil or good is not the case to come up with. I think it’s much better to ask these questions:

Are we born to live as a good person or as a bad person? Can we all live as good people? Does living as a good person be an individual act or an act that needs to be done by everyone?

All of these questions not just asks about good or evil but also question our very own free will because if we really are not born evil or good then its in our hand what we could be.
