Restart: March 14, 2025 — A Fresh Beginning

Life has a way of throwing everything at you at once, and February was a month that tested me in ways I never expected. Looking back, it felt like pure chaos — family issues, hospital visits, academic struggles, and a whole lot of unexpected events. But today, as I sit down to write this, eating oats for dinner at 9:23 PM, I know it’s time for a restart.

Surviving February: A Month of Chaos

February started on a rough note with Dad’s continuous BP issues. The stress didn’t end there. He had to travel to Lucknow for a family dispute, and what followed was one of the worst incidents I’ve ever had to deal with.

On his way back, my cousin Satyam — who has a passion for driving but ignored his exhaustion — fell asleep at the wheel for just a few seconds. That was enough. In an instant, the car crashed into another vehicle. Thankfully, airbags saved them, but the relatives sitting in the backseat got minor injuries.

I got the news in the morning, right before I was about to leave for college. Shocked and worried, I decided to skip my classes and went to college in the second shift instead. But even that didn’t feel right, so I returned home early. Over the next few days, I had to skip college entirely to help my mom manage the shop while Dad recovered.

A crane brought our nearly totaled car to the Maruti body shop, and the sight of it made my elder sister cry. It was a reminder of how close we were to something far worse.

But the struggles weren’t over. Dad wasn’t taking his medicines properly, which led to another BP issue, and he had to be admitted to the hospital again. Seeing him like that, knowing how much stress he had endured, made me realize how fragile everything truly is.

Family Drama in Lucknow: Priorities All Over the Place

While all this was happening, I found out something that left me disappointed. After the accident, my cousin Satyam — who claims to be a vegan — went ahead and ordered chicken biryani and cigarettes while staying at the hotel that night. The worst part? Dad was the one who raised him after his father passed away. I mean, I get it — he respects Dad, but on such a serious occasion, doing something like this? It just felt off.

And then there was Rashi, my younger cousin. She recently got a job to help support the family, but instead of acting responsibly, she started crying to go to Lucknow — not because of the family dispute, but because she wanted to meet her boyfriend. She’s just a school-going girl, and her priorities were completely misplaced. If I had been at home when all this happened, I swear, I would have scolded her right then and there. But what’s done is done. No point in holding onto it now.

March Begins: MST 1 Exams and a Much-Needed Escape

With all this going on, March started with MST 1 exams. I managed to give only two papers before deciding to skip the rest due to my low attendance: ✔ Research Methodology — 25/30 (Not bad!) ✖ Compiler Design — 15/30 (Yeah… not great.)

The stress, the frustration, and everything else just left me mentally exhausted. So, I decided to take a break — a solo trip to Manali.

Manali: A Week of Freedom

I can confidently say this was the best decision I made. A full week of eating without a care, wandering through the cold, and just letting myself breathe. I didn’t follow any strict diet, didn’t care about calories, and even ignored my skincare routine — which, in hindsight, was a mistake.

When I returned, I could already feel the consequences. I gained weight, my acne-prone scalp got worse, and my energy levels were down. But you know what? It was worth it. That trip gave me a much-needed mental reset.

Holi & The Start of Something New

Today, I celebrated Holi, indulged in a lot of chicken for lunch, and now, at 9:23 PM, I’m sitting down to write this, knowing that it’s time to get back on track.

Starting tomorrow, things change. ✔ Back to clean eating.Back to skincare.Back to discipline.

This blog marks a restart. Whatever happened, happened. Now, it’s time to take control again.
