Bengkulu — Class IIA Bengkulu Correctional Institution (Lapas Bengkulu) once again demonstrated its commitment to employee welfare and development by organizing a pre-marital hearing for one of its correctional officers, Krina Mukti, along with his future spouse ahead of their wedding scheduled for June 7, 2026.

The event was held at the Main Hall of Lapas Bengkulu on Tuesday (June 2) and was attended directly by the Head of Lapas Bengkulu, Julianto Budhi Prasetyono, accompanied by echelon IV structural officials. The hearing served as both guidance and preparation for the couple as they enter married life, particularly considering the responsibilities carried by correctional officers.

In his remarks, the Head of Lapas emphasized the importance of mental readiness, maturity in addressing household challenges, and mutual support between husband and wife. He stated that a harmonious family serves as a strong foundation that contributes to the professionalism and performance of an officer in carrying out state duties.

“Marriage is not merely the union of two individuals, but also the union of commitment, responsibility, and readiness to face life’s various challenges. For correctional officers, family support is one of the key factors in ensuring successful service and dedication,” said Julianto.

During the session, the hearing panel provided questions, advice, and guidance related to marital readiness, family management, and understanding the duties and responsibilities associated with correctional service. The atmosphere remained warm and family-oriented while maintaining the values of professionalism and employee development.
