Do not expect too much from the end of the world (2023)

Metal sheets stamped into my body parts, my parts welded into a magnificent frame, I am then painted, my engine placed so elegantly, wheels, seats, glass windows, my dashboard, oh my gorgeous dashboard. Everything tested, everything so perfect. All that engineering, just for this person, this...I don’t even know what to say, to sit in me so comfortably, looking out my window, knowing fully well that the driver is taking him in the wrong damn direction.

Where am I? It's almost dark, and I'm still not sure how to get home. Maybe I should ask for help, no, I should be able to figure this out on my own, after all, the campus isn't that big. This is nothing but a learning experience. All I have to do is walk in a straight line.

Layo is new on campus, and he wants to get from his faculty to the back gate of the school. Layo isn't really paying attention (he really should be) Layo just entered the wrong cab.

I have a bad habit of not telling a driver to stop when I’m being taken in the wrong direction (just on campus though). It always feels like I’m disturbing them even though I’m paying. That day, I genuinely just waited till he got to where he was going, dropped me off in an unknown part of campus, and I still said, "Thank you". A ten-minute journey became an hour. AN HOUR !!! After walking about aimlessly, I mustered up the courage to ask someone for directions. Can’t happen to me again though, not because of some new found courage but because I’ve convinced myself that everywhere on campus is just a walking distance. It’s not. My legs hurt.
