Well, greetings and salutations, I’m Myo! Welcome back to this page. Well, as a beginner anatomy artist who admires Frank Netter, MD so much, i tried to paint some of anatomical structures inspired by his art collection, Netter Atlas of Human Anatomy.

By the way, Myo has got the anatomy atlas!!!!

He was born in 1906, in New York City. He studied art at the Art Student’s League and the National Academy of Design before he received his MD degree in 1931

Frank H. Netter entered medical school at New York University, then he received his MD degree. During his years as a student, the physicians and medical faculty were attracted to Dr. Netter’s notebook sketches, while he could augment his incomeby making medical illustrations on articles and textbooks.

Wasn’t he a legend? He was a revolutionary artist in medicine. He created the future doctors.

In 1933, he continued illustrating as a sideline after establishing a surgical practice. Then he ultimately decided to give up his practice to fully dedicate himself to art.

So Myo really enjoyed it, really. Myo admires this underrated artist. He’s so niche yet legendary.

So this is Myo’s very first painting which the reference was in the physical book of Netter Atlas of Human Anatomy Myo has:

Myo started it with the simplest organ, the eye and the extraocular muscles. Well, Myo is still a beginner, so… well… We really hope that we can make the better ones, soon.

If you’re interested to become a future doctor, but you’re also good at art, don’t you ever think about failing, make your brain’s left and right hemisphere handshake — working together, yeah NOT FIGHTING. As long as you have the passion to keep advancing.

Seeing people giving up their dreams be like:

“ah i’m good at art, that makes my science exam a nightmare”.

BRO… have you tried to embrace BOTH!? Being “creative” doesn’t mean you’re bad at science and math. It’s more about “personal preference”, I guess.

Future doctors… they should be at the hospital all the time, because, they can do anything they want! As long as they help people live. As long as they help people from suffering. As long as they help everyone in need. As long as…

Do good. You can work at lab to create antidotes and medicines. You can work in medical schools as teachers/tutors. You can also… be a medical artist like the legendary medical artist i respect so much, Frank Netter, MD!

They help doctors handle harsh situations, especially in surgeries. His accurate illustrations… help them learn what inside human bodies are. He, indirectly, saves people’s lives by teaching the future doctors through his books. And about emotion he put on his artworks? Yes. It’s hope. Everyone’s hope to keep living better.
