Sheer Delight

In transition

I chase light, not only from above, behind and below wherever it reaches out.

Light, transit physical mass into pearl-like sheer. A fascinating visual attraction when stepping onto the illuminated sand. I’ll never know if I wasn't viewing it at a low angle; it was a magical moment, the quiet tide receding in slow motion.

Within an hour or so, all these subtle textures would be gone. I took my time to immerse until the arrival of twilight.

We always said the sky is a canvas, so is water. Standing along a river close to the nearby city, high-rises melted into the ripple under a dully grey sky.

Soft tone of the fading light merged everything into a watercolour sheer, afloat on the quiet land … so ethereal.

When water is in motion, it could be harsh & stiff; a forcible action to swallow everything beneath.

But sometimes, a descending tide may do the opposite. The fading light tends to leave a shimmery sheen to smooth the ragged beach~ a footprint of restoration.

The same fading light appeared when I was on my way to a class. It recalled my sheer delight in the past, so I followed, as if I were on the beach.

Keep chasing the morning light dramatically transformed the concrete block into gossamer again. Contrary to the reality surrounding.

Then I moved on, as if I was being cursed. Eventually, the sheer buoyancy led me here, someone to connect in a whisper morning.
