Day One!

I started the FlatIron School on November 20th. I started my “coding” journey five years ago. I hope to take my experiences and opportunities to convert into a meaningful occupation. I am letting go of the past but holding onto the knowledge. This has lead to easy pre-work, for me. Excited to push the boundaries of myself and build new things. I am now twenty days in. I am still confused about what is asked of me, as there are multiple tabs offering what seem to be similar paths. I messaged my instructor and will sort everything out soon.

Now that I have gotten my feet wet, I am taking a step back and will move with purpose. In the past I found myself stuck on a problem, stubborn, and not making the correct steps in order to move forward. I have learned the technical vocabulary in order to hold conversations about what it is I am working on and trying to achieve. As a visual person, it still takes a second sometimes in order for my mind to connect my thoughts to the physical world. But this knowledge makes working with AI more enjoyable. I still tell the chat bots Thank you! I for one am terrified of decision makers with no feelings.

Now too sort out the differences between the “Phase 1 Syllabus” and the “Syllabus for Phase 1”. Til next time, Go Broncos!
