Threshold diary: Already heavenly

I followed a black cat into a hut in the mountains, yet, as I stepped inside, the cat had disappeared, and an older lady was awaiting me. “There you are. Right on time. Everything is as it should be. Please, have a seat.” In a space that had been empty before, two armchairs and a fireplace had appeared. We both sat down and she started to speak, “This is your time to shine. This is your life to live. This is your own story to write. You are the embodiment of your choices. The steering wheel of your life is yours. Admittedly, the controls are very complicated, but that allows for a huge range of complex possibilities. Diversity is important for a spectrum of choices. Distinct paths in a continuous field of potential. You can go up, you can go down. Appreciate the contrast, honor the distinct values. Will you choose apathy or virtue? Act from love, or out of fear? Will you hand over control to others, or steer your own life? Will you let habit keep you caught in cycles, or will you break free, unravel old patterns, and venture into the new? Your choice.” She snapped her fingers, and suddenly I found myself in a room with two doors. Without thinking about it, I chose the one that felt warmer.”
