Goodbye USDC.e and why you need native and how to switch fast

Relying on “wrapped” tokens from bridges was never ideal. The switch to a native standard had to happen eventually.

Basically, USDC.e is just the old “wrapper” used for bridging via StarkGate, while native USDC is the real deal from Circle. It’s regulated, fully reserved, and much safer.

Bitcoiners (who @StarknetFoundation is really focusing on now) don’t like middlemen. Native CCTP fixes this. It allows for “burn-and-mint” transfers, moving money between chains cleanly without the usual bridge risks.

But a lot of users still have the old USDC.e sitting around. Apps will slowly switch over, so it’s better to migrate now before liquidity dries up.
