langkawi Elevated!!

It all started 150 days back before our trip. 3 families including mine along with our 10 year old children (1 family had a 3 yr old child too)planned langkawi.All 3 of us are friends through children schooling. I took the responsibility of organising the tour through travel agent. We planned for 4N 5D trip. One thing was in my mind. That’s do something that others did not. Now I’m posting my day1 to day 5 experience in langkawi

day 1- landed langkawi 10.40 am and reached hotel by 12pm. Hotel did not allow early check in. So finished lunch nearby Cenang Mall. Food was okyish not great. Then went to langkawi wild life park and had great 1 hour there by touching, feeding animals and birds there. Park was very well maintained. Came back to hotel and took lunch in an Indian type restaurant near our stay (nadias hotel).

day 2- Packed day!!

We planned island hopping first.I have already trimmed it to just one meaningful island visit…yes the Dayang bunting lake. Wow what a place !!. yes we need to treck 10–15 min to reach the lake. But it was totally worth it. We swam about 1 hour in that 45 feet lake with life jacket. Initially many of us feared but managed to get courage soon and started enjoying the moment. Took lot of photos and videos and returned. Speed boat was thrilling and as we were already 10 of us , our SIC was upgraded to private without extra cost!!. Next was water sports at cenang beach. We did double parasailing and jetski along with drone shots at cenang. Wow what a decision It was. Not everyone does drone shoots. Then we went for the ultimate hidden gem. The sunset jet car ride near eagle square and maha tower. This too was drone covered.!! . That’s what I told initially. We wanted to do something others did not do at langkawi.

day 3.

Sky cab sky bridge with expressway tickets. Yes this saved us 1–2 hours of standing in the queue. So totally enjoyed the one of the world’s steepest cable car ride. And experienced scenic views of sea and landscape from sky bridge. After taking quick lunch at oriental village we went to take superb photos at 3d museum. It was easier to take photos there as there were markings on the floor how to take photos. Then later in the evening we went to sunset cruise SIC. But our luck…only 30 people were there in the boat including us. That boat had 60 people capacity.So did not look crowded. Enjoyed sea water jacuzzi net and dj music dancing.

day 4 — mangrove forest tour (Sic converted to pvt) with dangli island snorkeling in morning. Wow what a tour it was. we travelled through andaman sea and the mangroves, crocodile cave and encountered lot of monkeys . There was fish farm as well. Boat man gave chance to our children to hold on to the steering wheel and drive through. So definitely it was unique. Then we went back to our hotel for lunch. After that me and my wife took paramotoring around cenang beach area along with drone video shoot. Again a rarity who tour langkawi. Drone videos were cinematic!!. After that we visited dream forest…that was totally immersive experience. Don’t miss that especially if you go with children.

day 5- last day we went to under water world. It was the least enjoyable activity of our trip. But still we found penguins there to satisfy our kids . Then we took the return flight with full of pride and satisfaction that we did something else other than ordinary
