2nd edition of TEDxShehuri event "Bounce Back".

TEDxShehuri held its second edition today 22th January, 2022, which is a year to “bounce back” from all that has happened in the past insurgency years in Borno state.

TED is a nonpartisan nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 110 languages world wide. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.

TEDxShehuri held it first event in 2020 know as the transition, which seeks to provide an alternative narrative to the image of the 10 years Boko Haram insurgency in the northeast using a platform for solution driven ideas to thrive.

TEDxShehuri 2022 the second edition focuses on ways to look ahead with renewed hopes and aspirations for a reassured and better future. A number of 10 Speakers discussed through different amazing success stories and topics which are all centered towards Bouncing Back and some number of poetry performances.

The speakers includes: Hamzat Lawal (Activist and development practitioner), Abdulhamid Al Gazali (a Journalist and a histortian), Godless Otubere(A political Analyst and a peace advocate), Dr Zainab Chellube(Academic and a researcher), Muhammed Bukar( a researcher and development consultant), N. Shuraim Abdulrahman (TV show producer and a moral coach), Ummi Bukar(Gender activist and Media specialist), Abdul-malik Mahdi (an Entrepreneur), Ahmad Tijjani Modibbo (Engineer and tech enthusiast), Farida Yahaya( Social entrepreneur and a start up coach), Abubakar Suleiman (Development Expert and social entrepreneur), Aisha Zannah Mustapha (Social Activist and Humanitarian), and Ummi Yakubu(Multimedia developer).

Among some of the notable areas in bouncing back is looking back to history.

Borno state always turns back better after Crisis.

Al Gazali said.
