When the nights are too long, I'm usually dwelling on the things I did wrong.

It’s time to let go and live in today, and for those from my yesterday, I will still pray.

Today you’re not here, but others are, and my mourning for you has left such a scar.

It's time to take control of the gifts of today, feed my blessings and give myself to those who choose to stay.

So here I am, 100% in the now, lighter than before and even grateful somehow.

Yesterday is gone, stowed away in its place; my blessings of today now have plenty of space.

Oh thank you Lord for freeing me to explore, and for blessing me with the current relationships I so adore.

My father, my Lord, the Holy Spirit, my Husband, and my Brother too. These are my greatest blessings of today all Thanks to You.

Grace and mercy follow me all the days of my life, please give me the wisdom and understanding to avoid new strife.

Plant your words in me and let your spirit shine through, please cleanse my soul so your light will shine, in all things you have me for to do.

Blessed am I as I follow your path and cling to You, finally embracing the truth that I forgot I even knew.

No longer a slave to yesterday’s ways, it’s You Lord, that freed me and too You I devote all of my praise.
