Connections make the world go round. They exist everywhere in various forms, some obvious, some hidden some completely unknown. Connections with self, with others, with life. Oftentimes we use analogies to explain these connections and understand them better. Analogies help us connect self with life, and we learn lessons from the ways of nature.

Seeds of Success And Hope

Nabila Asif Life Lesson Writer writes from the heart and with deep honesty. Her story has very simple language and is to the point. No frills or fancy vocabulary. But one connects with her words. I like the analogy of the grain turning into dust and then growing into a plant which she used to explain how one can turn to dust and then experience growth.

How I See Depression And Anxiety

Someone who has been there, knows exactly what it feels like. Zyra shares her experience of being pinned down by depression and anxiety, which shattered her completely. She took a step back, introspected, connected with her inner self and gradually rose to her feet. The best part of the story is the beautiful poem which clearly demarcates the difference and connection between depression and anxiety.

They Leave A Bad Taste In My Mouth

This story highlights the ‘missing’ connection between the missionaries and their mission. Jennifer Moorman Bolaños was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal. She describes her encounter with the nuns who visited her village when she was twenty-five, and how the whole episode left a bad taste in her mouth. It is worthy of notice how she touches a sensitive point with such subtlety and yet makes it seen and heard.

Feeding Ourselves Is More Than Just Food

How can one nourish the soul, feed the soul? Why is it important to feed the soul? Why do we need to introspect? What is it that we are looking for in life? How well do we treat ourselves? How well do we treat others? How can we make this better?

These and many such similar questions are addressed and answered in this story by 'W'HolisticNerd. Questions I never thought of, questions iI never sought answers for, they are all here.

How Do Readers Connect With Us?

When we have covered connections in all aspects, why leave our ‘passion’ behind? As writers, we put our heart and soul into writing, apart from the time and energy of course! So, it becomes important for us to understand our readers, why certain people resonate with us and others don't. Here I have used the analogy of the tuning forks. Hope we connect. :)
