When I hear a movie is bad, I try to hold off. Bring my expectations down to absolutely nothing. Sometimes it works out. Then there are other times. This is one of those other times.

Jared Leto has had good performances. This is not one of them. He is just going through the motions. He is like a mopey goth teen, except slightly more annoying. It doesn’t help that the script gives him nothing. It moves too fast to develop any sense of character. It moves too slow to care.

Matt Smith tries. He really does. But his character has nothing for him either. He is definitely better than Leto but that’s not saying much. He tries to have fun with the role, and at moments succeeds.

Small Observations:

• Al Madrigal is the best character in the movie. Funny in a movie where when the hero jokes it’s awkward. We need the levity.
• Tyrese Gibson, however, is not at his best. Just stiff and way too serious.
• The effects are…weird. Smokey. The facial effects really look bad.
• MCU actors: All of them? Kind of? Certainly 1.

It barely gets anything positive. Only for Matt Smith and Al Madrigal. It is not a good movie. At all. Trash. Not recommended.
