WHY IM DOING THIS REFORM THING???

For more than two decades inside Arizonas prison system, I have witnessed things that changed me forever. I have lived through experiences that I believe no human being should endure. I have personally experienced what I know to be abuse of power, excessive force, prolonged restraint, inadequate medical care, insufficient mental health treatment, poor nutrition, retaliation, and contraband being planted on me by officers that I maintain I did not possess. I spent 30 days in four-point restraints for 24 hours a day, i spent 12 years straight on a level 5 yard locked in a 10 by12 foot cell for 23 hours a day with a rodent and roach infestation so out of control that I had to sleep with tissue in my nose and ears. I endured physical assaults by officers, and watched men lose hope and in some cases, lose their lives.

I have watched countless people leave prison with little preparation for success because meaningful education, vocational training, and marketable trades were limited or unavailable. Too many men and women return to society without the tools needed to build productive lives, and we all pay the price when rehabilitation is treated as an afterthought instead of a priority.

As my own release draws closer, I have made a decision. I refuse to leave this system without fighting to make it better than it was when I entered it. I owe that to the next generation, to the families waiting for their loved ones, and to every taxpayer who deserves a correctional system that is accountable, transparent, constitutional, and focused on rehabilitation.

That is why I founded THEEKELLYBRAND (TKB) Reform Project.

Our mission is to build a grassroots prison reform and public accountability movement dedicated to promoting transparency, exposing corruption and abuse wherever it exists, encouraging responsible government oversight, protecting taxpayer interests, supporting public safety, and advocating for humane, constitutional treatment within Arizonas correctional institutions.

This movement is bigger than me. Its about creating a system that values accountability, rehabilitation, and human dignity.

To my brothers and sisters behind the wall sand to everyone in the free world who feels imprisoned by addiction, trauma, poverty, fear, or lifes circumstances don’t give up. Hold on. Keep believing. Your story isnt over. Help is on the way, and together we can build a future where justice truly means justice for everyone, and Rehabilitation and Re-Entry truly means that.
