Jadeja made his Test debut in December 2012 against England at Nagpur. While his bowling made an immediate impact, critics were quick to doubt his place in the longest format. His batting wasn’t yet trusted, and many viewed him as a limited-overs specialist. But he worked on his batting skill and hit his maiden Test century in 2018 against the West Indies.

Since then, he has never looked back and just dominated Test cricket with his all-rounder skills. He is the longest-reigning Number 1 All-rounder in Tests more than 1152 days.
