In some offices, the winner has to stand up and cough loudly, signaling to the other "initiates" that the circus is officially over.

But today, in 2026, the old corporate lexicon is outdated. It’s time to update the rules and expose the fresh Big Tech noise under which venture funds are blindly writing million-dollar checks.

• Paradigm = We literally just changed the color of a button in the app and labeled it a new era in design.
• Tech-Agnostic = This piece of software doesn’t work anywhere at all on any platform.
• Scaling = We learned how to burn through the investors' budget three times faster than last month.
• Disruptive Innovation = We invented something absolutely nobody needs, but it sounds aggressive enough in the pitch deck to secure funding.
• Monetizing Datasets = We are secretly selling your private chats, habits, and personal data to advertisers.
• Ecosystem = We trapped you inside our digital prison, and you can’t delete your account without immense pain.
• Sustainability = We printed this entire corporate nonsense in our annual report on recycled paper.
• Human-Centric Approach = "How can we squeeze another 5 dollars out of this user before they close the app?"

But let’s look back at that corporate meeting. Why does this digital pen even work? Because we willingly agree to play along with their silence.

The ultimate conclusion I reached while watching this circus is this: if you don't know something during a negotiation—just ask. Stop the speaker right in the middle of their grand, pompous speech and say: "I don't know that term, explain it to me like I'm five."

In a world infected by false elitism, this step is often perceived as a vulnerability. But that is a massive delusion. Asking a question is not stupidity.
