Bitterness

I've just read an article of somebody online saying that music has gone completely wrong ways and that there is too much noise of amateur/not as professional people getting in the way of the market…

That made me think, of the world order and basically how are we doing as society in keeping healthy view on what is happening.

In my case, I've been in love with music since I can remember. My grandma sang to me all the time what she loved — traditional folk music. Later on my dad played only rock music around the house, which has been quite important influence as well. And then I remember the day when I went to the first jazz concert in my life, where my guitar teacher played and I remember just sitting there in awe how is this magical thing called improvisation actually possible.

Since then I have been obsessed at first with playing, then composing songs to lyrics of other people. And finally now with improvised music and soloing. And listening…

I find it absolutely breath taking when people play together and I don't mind if sometimes it is not the greatest level of all times. Somehow it seems to be more important the message, the vibe, the ideas, the tone or maybe just the lyrics of the other people. It makes me understand them, see how they think musically. What they say in this super magical language of the world called music.

Some people may not play the best but might have something to say. Some people may play the best but have nothing to say. What do we do about it?

Sometimes the world is not black or white, sometimes it is pink with violet dots spilled over with white and yellow.

What is the point of language?

What would happen if people who cannot play the best wouldn't play at all?

And more important, what would happen to us if we didn't connect through the variety of music?

So many questions… what do you think? :)
