Your presence is more calming than a spa

Your beauty, divine even through time

Yoruba goddess of the sea, you be

I went looking for you, so I washed my feet at the sands of the sea

Ocean waves washed my skin and I felt free

The sound of peace and I felt healed

My tears dried up and my wounds were sealed

When I found true love, you were there with me

Or was it you who sent him to me

When my belly blossomed with child, you smiled

Tears of joy, you cried

When love became a tormenting hurricane of events

You sent serenity in profuse descents

Once again I felt your presence like sweet scents

Joy filled the air in large percents

And I was whole again

What was lost became a gain

I am by the ocean looking for you

But I am remembering that there has always been you

A beautiful divine presence watching over me

Even beyond the depths of the sea

Your generosity aroused my curiosity

So I got some paper and paint to express your grandiosity

A small gesture of my reciprocity

That could never come close to your divinity
